About the Show

The Dark Line is a weekly paranormal podcast that explores the eerie, the unexplained, and the uncanny—through chilling listener voicemails. Each episode features real (or real-feeling) stories of hauntings, UFO sightings, cryptid encounters, prophetic dreams, time slips, and phenomena that defy logic.

Listeners call in with the strange moments they can’t explain—and if it lingers in the unknown, it ends up on the line.

Hosted by Sophia Thompson and Wylder Graves, and narrated by the unsettling voice of Damian Talbott, The Dark Line blends narrative suspense with supernatural lore.

The Dark Line didn’t start as a podcast. It started as a way to unwind. During the pandemic—when the world felt loud and uncertain—I found myself pulled toward quiet, eerie corners of the Internet. I’d read strange posts, try to figure out whether they were real or just really well written, and fall down rabbit holes that stuck with me long after the screen went dark.

Eventually, I looped in a few close friends—Everett, Derek, and Jillian. We met online using Zoom, and those solo rabbit holes turned into long, late-night calls. We’d question the logic of the stories, dissect the emotional beats, and get caught on those strange little details that felt too personal to be made up. And then something unexpected happened: we started noticing patterns. Stories from different people, different places—sometimes different countries—were echoing each other. Not word-for-word. But something was running underneath.

So we began recording—not for content, but just to track those overlaps. To ask ourselves: Were we imagining it? Or were we glimpsing something deeper? Somewhere along the way, one of us said—half-jokingly—“We should turn this into a podcast.” We laughed. But then… we didn’t.

None of us had made a show before. But we figured it out. I worked out the tone and editing. Jillian became the voice behind Sophia Thompson—our skeptical med student host. Derek shaped Wylder Graves—the believer in the strange. And Everett gave voice to the line itself—Damian Talbott.

It became more than just us. We started reaching out to the real people behind the stories we found online. We asked permission to share their experiences—whether that meant helping them write a call from scratch or receiving their own .mp3 recordings, straight from the source. We curated them. Shaped them. And gave each one the care and weight it deserved.

We built The Dark Line so those voices would have somewhere to go. A place where the unexplained isn’t ignored—it’s explored. Because some stories stay with you. And if they stay long enough… they start calling back.
