Submission Guidelines

We’re honored that you’re considering sharing your story with us. Here’s how to submit your experience—and what to expect next.

What We’re Looking For:

  • True, firsthand experiences involving the unexplained
(Ghosts, cryptids, UFOs, glitches in reality, psychic phenomena, or anything that doesn’t quite belong.)

  • You were there. The story happened to you or someone very close to you.

  • Details matter. The more grounded your story feels (time, place, what you saw or heard), the better we can share it.

What We Don’t Accept:

  • Works of fiction or creepypasta

  • Retellings of well-known legends or internet lore

  • Third-hand accounts without clear sources

  • Overtly graphic or distressing content (violence, abuse, etc.)

  • Excessive profanity – we’re okay with emotion, but keep it listenable

💡Note on Profanity:

We get it—sometimes fear, shock, or frustration comes out with strong language. That’s okay. Just know that we may lightly edit for tone and flow to fit our format and rating guidelines. No need to censor yourself completely—just speak from the heart.

🗣️ How to Submit:

Preferred Format:

Record your story in a voicemail-style audio file (aim for ~2–3 minutes). Speak naturally—this isn’t a performance. We love stories told in your own voice.

Alternate Option:

You can also send a written version of your story if you’d prefer we read it on air.

Send it to:

📩 thedarkline@outlook.com

or upload via https://thedarkline.fun

📄 What Happens Next:

  1. We review all submissions for clarity, tone, and fit.

  1. If selected, you’ll receive a Right-to-Use Agreement via secure link (one click—no contracts).

  2. Once we have your permission, we’ll let you know when your story is scheduled to air.

📝 Tips for a Great Recording:

  • Find a quiet room. Avoid background noise if possible.

  • Introduce yourself by first name (or pseudonym) and location.

  • Share how the experience started, what happened, and how it left you feeling.

  • End naturally—no need for a perfect sign-off.
